MR-1 - Electronic Touch Probe (Version 2)

The MR-1 Electronic Touch Probe Version 2 allows you to perform precise 3-axis digital probing on the MR-1 CNC Gantry Mill.

The Langmuir Systems V2 Touch Probe has undergone extensive redesign, now featuring a 3-pin kinematic mechanism that provides:

• Resolution to less than .0005” accuracy.
• Elimination of mechanical play present in some V1 probes.
• Easier disassembly and reassembly without losing accuracy.

With the custom-designed touch probe, you can quickly set work offsets using CutControl’s integrated probing canned cycles. In less than a thousandth of an inch, the probe will find the corner of a block, center of a bore, or center of a slot. It also serves as an inspection or digitizing tool for your projects.

The replaceable stylus is made of carbide or ceramic for stiffness, and the ruby tip ensures wear resistance. Adjustment screws let you adjust the tip to zero runout. The shank can be gripped with a standard ⅜” ER20 collet.

The probe has four indicator lights that alert the user when the probe tip contacts the part's surface.
